When they just don’t get it
I am sure some of you have friends you have told about your fetish, lifestyle, or disability. I say it like that because we all fall in different categories. I have a few friends who are into it, but not very many at all. I have a friend I have known for years and years and I can tell when I talk to her, it doesn’t click. I don’t give her intimate details, but I will mention something about my husband and it isn’t traditional as to how husbands are to be, and she nods or says, “yeah I know”. Then I remember, she doesn’t get it, why bother. Sometimes I think I am just going to stop talking to people about it that aren’t part of this community because it is a headache to do so.
I never really hid it from my friends when I went in to learn about bdsm as a lifestyle. Most of my friends just said things like “oh I could see you with a whip yelling at people” It’s not all about that, I rarely yell. My whip can collect dust but I still consider myself a Domme.
